Hi, I am Stefan Kehl.

Since 1995 I have been working in the beauty and cosmetics industry, working internationally as a hair and make-up artist.

Over the past decades, I had the chance to build a highly professional understanding of cosmetics. What is useful and what might not be me.

While I lived in New York City, I started to explore the world of fragrances and homemade colour cosmetics.

Because I was not happy with what the industry provided in terms of sustainability and ingredients, I started experimenting with scents and colour cosmetics on my own terms.

Good cosmetics also need a pleasant scent, that’s why I quickly grew into the art of fragrance development.

On a random occasion, I remembered that I wanted to become a perfumer at the age of 14. 

At that time I collected an incredible number of miniatures and flacons of the most popular brands. I even found them in the attic.

After my exciting time in New York, I went back to Germany and co-founded the brand AER SCENTS.

One of the most challenging tasks was to only put 100 % natural ingredients into the perfume. No additives, avoiding all chemicals, synthetic fragrances, colourants and preservatives, as well as all animal products and endangered plants.

A traditional, time-honoured concept, totally modern and newly interpreted. These self-imposed restrictions made the project so exciting and successful.

The time has come to get the knowledge out into the world.
